The first interview of the series is finally here! I interviewed former Maidenhead United and Luton Town defender Samuel Beckwith. I asked him 12 questions about his role and experience in non-league football. A big thanks to Sam for getting back to me and I hope you all enjoy!

SB: 'It was very good and one of the best moments I've had in football. It was everything that I worked for.'

Question 2

What was the highlight of your time at Maidenhead United?

SB: 'Don't have one highlight in particular as there were too many to choose from!'

Question 3

What was your first impression of York Road?

SB: 'A great stadium with lots and lots of history.'

SB: 'It was very good because he had played at the highest level so you can learn so much from him.'

Question 6

What was your favourite away game with Maidenhead United?

SB: 'It has to be Wrexham away just because of the last minute equaliser. Also to play in front of nearly 10k fans was great!'

Question 7

What was your favourite game with Maidenhead United?

SB: 'Probably Wrexham at home. We were massive underdogs and we won 3-2. Ryan Reynolds was even watching!'

SB: 'A 6ft 3, hard working, good in 1v1s, read the game well and good on the ball.'

Question 11

Who is the best player you have played alongside?

SB: 'I can't pick one name as there are many that have gone onto have great careers. I'd say James Justin because of how far he has come now he is playing for England!'

Question 12

Any advice for others?

SB: 'Keep chasing your dreams and work hard!'

And that concludes my interview with Samuel Beckwith. A massive thank you to Sam for letting me ask a few questions and producing some great answers! Hope you all enjoyed and let me know if you liked it!
