A huge game in particular for Weymouth. Weymouth really need to string together a run of form if they are to have any chance of staying up. Wealdstone are currently pulling away from the bottom three and if they won today they would be 16 points away from the drop zone.
A big performance was needed from Weymouth. A few chances for both teams were in the first ten minutes but neither converted. A few more chances in the next few minutes but none were worth reporting on. An incredibly quiet time until around half time. In the last minute of the first half there was finally a breakthrough. The goal was a much needed one for Weymouth and Bradley Ash scored the goal. He bent the ball into the top corner scoring a huge goal for the Terras on the brink of half time. Wealdstone responded very well in the second half as they equalised within 5 minutes. Rhys Browne grabbed the goal after he received the ball in the box and found the back of the net levelling things up. It wasn't long until they were ahead thanks to a free-kick whipped in which was missed by the defence and the rebound was scored by Jack Cook. A quick swing in the scoreline gave Wealdstone the momentum. After some subs Wealdstone exteneded their lead thanks to another goal from Rhys Browne on the 75 minute mark. A great corner that Jerome Okimo got on the end of and his shot was tapped in by Rhys Browne. The game looked to be finished but Josh McQuoid pulled one back for Weymouth with around 5 minutes remaining. After a few more chances for Weymouth, Wealdstone held out for a 3-2 victory.
This means Weymouth stay in 21st place and it is looking gloomy for the Terras as they are 9 points from safety and Aldershot Town have games in hand. Wealdstone now move upwards to 15th on 38 points.
