Games to watch out for in the National League & National League North/South!
Another week means another great set of games! Lots of variety but due to the FA Trophy occupying a few teams this weekend we will not be including those teams. Top of table clashes, bottom of league battles and derbies, it's all here this weekend!
Wealdstone vs Weymouth
Big one at the bottom of the table. Weymouth really need to start winning soon as their survival hopes are looking slim. Weymouth are currently 22nd and 9 points adrift of safety. Wealdstone are 16th and are 13 points ahead from Weymouth. It's a tough one but I predict a 2-0 Wealdstone win.
Yeovil Town vs Grimsby Town
Yeovil host Grimsby at Huish Park in a big game for both sides. Grimsby Town start in 8th and the opportunity to jump into play-offs. Yeovil started the day in 13th and on 39 points. They have been on a bad run lately and haven't scored more than one goal in the league since November 2021. I predict a 0-1 Grimsby win.
Boreham Wood vs Chesterfield *STAR GAME*
Now this is a huge game. Boreham Wood host Chesterfield at Meadow Park and this is do or die for Boreham Wood. They started the day in 5th place on 56 points and really need to beat Chesterfield if they want a chance of automatic promotion. Chesterfield just need to keep grinding out wins waiting for Stockport County to slip up. I predict a cracking game but Chesterfield stealing it and winning 1-2.
Chorley vs Southport
A big game in the play-offs as a slightly out of form Chorley side face a slightly out of form Southport side. Chorley are currently 5th and trying to cling onto the play-offs and Southport are in the same situation but in 6th place. Both will be hoping to win to avoid dropping out. I predict a 3-1 Chorley win.
Kidderminster Harriers vs AFC Fylde
A big one in the National League Northas 3rd face 4th. Unfortunately it looks like both teams title chase is off but they still need to confirm play-offs Kidderminster are 3rd but have dropped off a lot lately losing to Farsley Celtic and Gateshead. AFC Fylde have been up and down but overall not been great. I predict a 2-2 draw.
Chippenham Town vs Dartford
Dartford have been in brilliant form lately and look like they could be on a late title charge. They have a game in hand over Dorking Wanderers and if they win that they really would be putting the pressure on. Dartford are currently 4th in decent form and they are playing Chippenham Town in 10th. I predict a 0-3 Dartford win.
Ebbsfleet United vs Oxford City
Yet another play-off clash as Ebbsfleet face Oxford City at home. Oxford are 3rd at the moment and in great form. Joe Iaciofano has been amongst the goals lately and in great form. Ebbsfleet have been in average form and are 5th. This will be a cracker, I predict a 3-3 draw with a Joe Iaciofano hat trick.
Welling United vs Bath City
This is a relegation scrap. Welling start the day in 20th really at risk of relegation as they are only 6 points off the bottom. Bath aren't much better as they are 19th and only have two more points. Bath haven't won in 7 and I predict for this continue as I think it will be a 1-1 draw.
