Games to watch out for in the National League and the National League North/South this weekend!

There are some crackers to watch out for this weekend. Derbies, relegation 6-pointers, promotion battles you name it's here this weekend. Here are my top picks to watch out for this weekend in Non-League!

Southend United vs Grimsby Town

This one is tonight and last year this was a League Two fixture. It is 8th placed Grimsby Town playing 12th placed Southend United at Roots Hall in a big game concerning the play-offs. Southend are unbeaten in their last 6 home games and Grimsby have scored 7 goals in their last 5 games. Southend have really hit form in the turn of the year being unbeaten in 2022. My prediction is 2-2.

Chesterfield vs Solihull Moors

This is a big one in the promotion race. Both teams are on form and Chesterfiled sit 2nd and Solihull Moors are 6th. It will be Chesterfield's first game without Tshimanga all season. Chesterfield are unbeaten in 5 and Solihull in 6. This will be the pick of the bunch I'm predicting a 2-1 Chesterfield win.

Stockport County vs Woking

Top of table Stockport need to keep winning to keep Chesterfield and Boreham Wood at bay amd this is a great opportunity to do so. I reckon Challinor's men should stand strong and grab 3 points. It is 1st vs 15th so I think Stockport will win 3-1 at Edgeley Park to put the pressure on Chesterfield.

Wealdstone vs Wrexham

This is a big one at either side of the table. Wrexham have been doing ok butn have recently lost to Torquay United. Wealdstone have recently beat Barnet and Yeovil Town. Wealdstone sit 16th and Wrexham are currently 7th. They drew 0-0 last time out. My score prediction is 0-2 to Wrexham and Paul Mullin to get both.

Maidenhead United vs Boreham Wood

This is a huge one for both sides. Maidenhead need to pull away from Weymouth to avoid relegation so 3 points would be huge at York Road. Boreham Wood have games in hand over Stockport and Chesterfield so I feel as if a win would be massive for either side. I predict Boreham Wood to win 1-2 just stealing it late on.

Chorley vs Boston United

Neither side have been on great form lately but 8 points separate the two sides. Boston United could do with a win to keep their play-off push on track whereas Chorley need to maintain there spot in the play-offs with 3 points. I predict a 1-1 draw with a late equaliser from Chorley.

Curzon Ashton vs Brackley Town

It is 10th vs 2nd and in Brackley are currently in a tough title race up against Gateshead and Kidderminster Harriers. Brackley need to continue their good form with a win against string Curzon Ashton to keep the pressure on Gateshead. I predict a 0-1 win for Brackley.

Gateshead vs Spennymoor Town

It's all very tight at the top of National League North and Gateshead need to keep grinding out wins to stay top and to fight off Brackley and Kidderminster. Gateshead beat Spennymoor last time out winning 1-2 in a tight affair. Gateshead also have the best home form in the league. Spennymoor have dropped a few silly points lately so therefore I think Gateshead will run out 2-0 winners.

Dorking Wanderers vs Chelmsford

With Dorking top of the table looking unstoppable at the moment it is vital they win this since 2nd placed Maidstone are playing 3rd placed Oxford City. This meaning that at least one team will drop points. They are playing mid table Chelmsford and I think it will be 4-0 Dorking Wanderers and an easy win at home to get one step closer to Promotion.

Dulwich Hamlet vs St Albans

Both teams are going for play-offs and are only separated by 3 points. Dulwich Hamlet are in the play-offs at the moment in 6th place and St Albans are in 9th. St Albans have only played 23 games and have 3 games in hand over Dulwich. I think this is the game to look out for so I'm going to say I think it will be 3-3.

Maidstone vs Oxford City

Now this is a massive game. It is 2nd vs 3rd in the National League South. Both teams have been on excellent form and are separated by 4 points. I feel as if Maidstone win they would be 7 points clear of Oxford City having played a game less. Bothe teams have been high scoring but I think Oxford City will pull off a great 1-2 win away from home.
