A big game in the SSML Premier Division as Crawley Green host Baldock Town. This is a huge game regarding relegation in the SSML Premier Division as Crawley Green are currently 20th and bottom whereas Baldock Town are 17th.
Crawley Green looked in trouble a few months ago but have been on a good run since and now look like they have a decent chance of survival. Crawley Green are now just one point away from 18th placed London Colney and a point today could claw them out if the bottom two. Crawley Green have two games left this season. These are Baldock at home - today's game - and Tring Athletic away. Crawley will be feeling fairly confident that they can drag themselves out of the relegation zone and a win today will put them in a great position. The teams that they can catch are Holmer Green and London Colney. A win tonight would mean that London Colney would have to beat Leverstock Green away and Crawley Green to lose against Tring Athletic in order to stay up. Leverstock Green also play Holmer Green tonight and if Holmer Green win and Crawley Green lose that will confirm Crawley Green's relegation. A draw or loss for Holmer Green could leave the door wide open for Crawley Green.
Baldock Town on the other hand were guaranteed safety after their win against Arlesey Town. Baldock are the 8th most in form team in the division and Crawley Green are the 7th most in form. Ashley Hay has been banging in the goals all season and his impact on Baldock has probably been the reason Baldock are where they are. Baldock have been in good form as their last two games have been a 3-0 win over Arlesey Town and a 4-2 win over Ardley United. Baldock have been fielding a lot of youth players lately and they have been very good and made an impact on the team. Baldock Town will be happy to remain in the Premier division for another season as they look to build on this season and aim to finish top 10 but most importantly survival. Baldock will be looking to pick up another 3 points this evening to make it 3 wins on the bounce for the first time this season.
Try to make it to the Brache for this massive game and you won't regret it! I won't be in attendance but I strongly suggest this one!
