Bradford better Leamington in mid table clash - Bradford Park Avenue 2-1 Leamington

Bradford started the day in 18th but only 5 points behind 12th placed Leamington. Bradford have been on up and down form. They have been free scoring but quite open in defence. They beat Alfreton Town 5-0 but then lost 4-2 to York City. Leamington have not been great lately dropping down to 12th.

It only took 2 minutes for there to be a goal. It was for Bradford Park Avenue and the scorer was Brad Dockerty after some great work from the winger who got it to him for an open shot which he hit past the goalkeeper to give Bradford a big lead. It was soon 2-0 on the 13 minute mark when Gianluca Havern hit it from a Bradford PA corner to get Bradford's second in the first 13 minutes. They kept going strong during the first half wanting that third goal to secure a big lead but nothing came and they went in 2-0 up. In the second half Leamington started going for it more and got close on multiple occasions at the start. Bradford defended well and kept going at it but a goal didn't come until the 74th minute. The goal was scored by Jack Edwards of Leamington the captain hit home for 2-1 to give Leamington a fighting chance. It wasn't enough and Bradford ran out 2-1 winners.

Bradford PA move up to 15th overtaking Spennymoor Town and Chester. They are now only 2 points off of Leamington with 2 in hand over them. It turns out to be a damaging loss for Leamington who have played many more games than others and are now at risk of dropping lower in the table.
