Big game down at the Eyrie as Bedford take on Biggleswade Town in the Bedfordshire FA senior cup. Bedford have been on a fantastic run as of late looking favourites to win the the Southern Central division and feeling hopeful to give Biggleswade a fright. Biggleswade have been quite poor this season as they sit 21st in the Southern Premier Division south but are looking to have a turn in form tonight.
Biggleswade Town play a division higher than Bedford so should be feeling hopeful. They are in very bad form as they haven't won since the 26th of October 2021 in a 3-2 win over Leiston. Bedford have been quite the opposite this season with a brilliant run of form taking them straight to the top of the league. The Eagles will be feeling confident tonight as they have been playing liquid football lately and have been quality. They are facing each other in the Bedfordshire FA senior cup quarter final and Biggleswade Town are actually the current holders of the cup as they triumphed in the 2018/19 season thanks to a 3-0 win over Barton Rovers in the final. Bedford are coming off the back of a 4-0 win over Didcot Town whereas Biggleswade's most recent game was a 1-0 loss to Hitchin Town.
This is all set up to be a brilliant game and the winner will advance to the semi finals Step 3 vs Step 4 and a derby with the two sides only separated by 15.8 miles. Who will run out winners?
