It is the final match day of the season for both sides and it will deliver. This is Bedford Town's last game in step 4 before promotion to step 3. Bedford will be in party mode and will be wanting to end the season in style. Aylesbury are currently 14th but can push up to 12th with a win and if results go their way.
Bedford are in form and look impossible to beat. They have been held to a few draws lately against St Neots Town and Kidlington FC. Connor Tomlinson has been amongst the goals lately and has scored 4 in his last 5. Bedford will be focusing on getting this win and then the party can truly begin. Bedford have also got two players suspended after Charley Sanders' red card against Welwyn Garden City (might be available) and Danny Setchell's red card against St Neots Town. Bedford will be aiming to cap of their season with a win against Aylesbury and then may the celebrations begin. All at Bedford Town will be very happy with the teams performances this season but in particular manager Gary Setchell will be buzzing. Bedford will be feeling very calm and confident for this one.
Aylesbury haven't got much to play for. They are currently 14th and are 100% safe from relegation. The result today could affect their position in the table as if Barton Rovers win and Aylesbury lose they will drop down to 15th. A win could also see them climb to a respectable 12th placed finish. Aylesbury will need to be prepared defensively for this one as Bedford are the top scorers in the league and so free scoring it is ridiculous. Rene Howe is a big aerial threat but the main threat from Bedford in my opinion is corners. They are a massive aerial threat from corners with many players who will do anything to get their head on it. Aylesbury are capable of dealing with this but it will be very difficult.
Try to get to the Eyrie for the last time this season to see the title celebrations. Bedford are currently 7 points clear of Berkhamsted in second too. And respect to any Aylesbury fans travelling to Bedfordshire for this one. Good luck to Aylesbury for next season too!
