Bedford batter Biggleswade and qualify for the final - Biggleswade United 1-5 Bedford Town

A big game in Biggleswade! Biggleswade United faced Bedford Town at home in the semi-finals of the Beds Senior Cup. Bedford have been in fantastic form as of late and were probably the favourites to win. Biggleswade had a job on their hands here.

Both teams started well but it was Biggleswade who took the lead. Alex Street sliced the pass back and the ball to Markel Cousins who scored the open goal. It didn't take long for the Eagles to respond as Connor Tomlinson equalised about a minute later. Some nice work from Connor Tomlinson lead to him putting the ball past the Biggleswade goalkeeper. Bedford kept this momentum and were soon ahead. Olly Swain put the away side in front after the Biggleswade goalkeeper attempted to clear the ball but it fell to Olly Swain who put the ball into the back of the net on the 40 minute mark. Bedford went in at half time 1-2 up. It only took 3 minutes for Bedford to get another. It was in-form Charley Sanders who scored an absolute peach of a goal to make it 1-3. Charley Sanders then got his second on the hour mark passed the ball past the Biggleswade goalkeeper to make it 1-4 and cement a spot in the final. Bedford weren't finished there as Danny Setchell grabbed the Eagles 5th of the evening. An assist for Charley Sanders as he gave the ball to Danny Setchell who placed his shot into the bottom corner making it 1-5. The game finished in a 1-5 triumph for Bedford.

Bedford Town will now face Leighton Town in the final at Kenilworth Road. A big game which I recommend you try to go watch.
