Barnet comeback earns point against tough Torquay - Torquay United 2-2 Barnet

A big game in the middle of the league and Barnet looking to push away from the bottom 3. Torquay were ready for another game at Plainmoor after beating Wrexham 1-0 in recent times. Barnet sat 19th going into the game only 9 points ahead of Weymouth. Torquay were 12th and comfortable in the middle of the league.

Torquay started off very well and they were rewarded within 9 minutes after Armani Little's free kick went to Joe Lewis who hit it to Connor Lemonheigh-Evans who smashed it in for 1-0. It was two on the 30-minute mark and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans doubled their lead when Stephen Duke-McKenna swung the ball in where Lemonheigh-Evans converted his second of the evening in a good day so far at Plainmoor. Barnet pulled one back before half time after a silly mistake from the Torquay back line and the ball was squared to Adam Marriott who put the ball in the empty net. Barnet started the second half off well going for a goal and trying to get a point. The goal came at the hour mark when Ephron Mason-Clark equalised for the Bees. Kian Flanagan passed it to Mason-Clark who smashed it into the top corner to aid Barnet's survival chances. The game finished 2-2.

Big point for Barnet who moved up to 17th and are almost at the magical 40 points and today was one step closer to another year in the National League. Torquay are now slowly falling away from the play-offs as two valuable points were dropped and remain 8 points off play-offs.
