Baldock Town vs Dunstable Town preview!

A big game at the New Lamb Meadow as Baldock Town host Dunstable Town. This is a big game for Baldock in particular as they look to push away from the bottom of the table. Dunstable on the other hand look safe and sit in 10th place whereas Baldock sit 17th.

Baldock are coming off the back of a painful 6-1 defeat away to Harpenden Town and have got fairly tough fixtures remaining. One of the better things for them this season is that striker Ashley Hay has been on top form and has arguably got them to where they are now. He has scored 21 goals so far this season and will be hoping to add to that tally tonight. Baldock won the reverse fixture at Creasey Park 0-2 thanks to goals from Charlie Rome and George Bates. This will mean Baldock will be confident they can do the same again. Dunstable have been on decent form lately but it has been really average. They have conceded a lot of goals this season and have only kept 7 league clean sheets so far this season. Dunstable won last time out, beating Leverstock Green 2-1 at home. Joseph Sellers-West is their top scorer this season with 10 goals but is closely followed by Kyle Faulkner who has 8 goals. Dunstable are the 7th best team in the league based on form over their last 6 games. They have won 4 and lost 2. Baldock on the other hand are 17th based on form and have lost 5 of their last 6 and won 1. Dunstable don't look like they are capable of a late play-off push as they are 17 points of 5th place. They won't be in the relegation battle though since they are 23 points clear of bottom placed Crawley Green.

Dunstable are the favourites going into the game but I wouldn't rule out Baldock as they are capable of more than you realise. I was in attendance for their 4-1 win over London Colney and on the day they place nice, fluent football. On their day they are tough to beat.
